Eligibility Conditions

    Appearing candidates in FSc Part-II examination ( having 50% marks in 1st year ) may apply with HOPE certificate duly signed by the Principal of concerned college/institution for attaining 50% marks. On declaration of Part-II result, candidates should submit FSc marks sheet immediately.
    Note for Trained Nurse
    A candidate should be registered with Pakistan Nursing Council ( PNC ).
    Preference will be given to qualified post basic specialized courses i.e ICU, OT, CCU etc from a hospital/institute recognized by PNC.
    Marks – FA/ FSc/ Equivalent. 55% marks for the candidates from specified areas with domicile. Areas including Balolchistan, FATA, Gilgit-Baltistan, District Neelum Azad Jammu Kashmir, District Kohistan, Chitral, Dir, Tehsil BalaKot (Kaghan, Naran) of District Mansehra in KPK, Tharparker and Tehsil UmerKot in Sind, District Rajanpur, Area of Cholistan Desert, Drawar Fort, Salamsar, Mojgarh and Dingarh of Punjab. Besides being domicile holder, the candidates must have been actually studying in the same areas.
  • In-Eligibility Conditions

    Twice rejected by the General Headquarters (GHQ) Selection Board.
    Declared Medically Unfit by Appeal Medical Board.
    Individual withdrawn/resigned/discharged from Armed Forces (Army, Navy and Air Force) training academies/institution on the ground of discipline, characters, medical inefficiency, weak profile or declared unsuitable.
    Individual dismissed/removed from any other government service.
    For BSc Nursing only – candidates already registered with Pakistan Nursing Council.
    Convicted by a Court of Law for an offence involving moral turpitude.
  • Registration and Preliminary Selection Procedure

    Candidates can either register through Internet or by visiting Army Selection and Recruitment Centres (AS&RCs). Following procedure will be adopted:-
    Registration through Internet . A candidate can register on website www.joinpakarmy.gov.pk . Date and time of test shall be intimated on individual’s e-mail address. Candidates will report on date and time given for preliminary test on computerized roll number slip. Date once given will not be changed. Candidates will also bring along documents (mentioned in advertisement) and will pay prospectus fee on the day of test. Candidates must attain working knowledge of computer.
    Registration at Army Selection and Recruitment Centres. The candidates may report at nearest Army Selection and Recruitment Centres (AS&RCs) for registration/allotment of roll number along with necessary documents (mentioned in advertisement) and the prospectus fee for completion of registration formalities. The candidates will bring these documents on the day of test as well.
    Preliminary Selection. The candidates will undergo initial medical test at Army Selection and Recruitment Centres (AS&RCs).
  • Further Selection Procedure

    Interviews of successful candidates by the General Headquarters (GHQ) Selection Board will be held at Lahore, Karachi and Rawalpindi for which separate call up letters will be issued. Successful candidates will receive call up notices for interview. The final selection will be made at General Headquarters (GHQ) on the basis of candidate’s overall performance.
  • Documents Required at AS&RCs .

    Candidates will deposit following documents with Army Selection and Recruitment Centres (AS&RCs):-
    Original certificates/documents/detailed marks sheets along with two attested photocopies of each educational certificate/degree.
    Candidates serving in Government’s institutions/departments will render No Objection Certificate (NOC) of the concerned establishment.
    Attested photocopy of domicile.
    Photocopies of computerized National Identity Card.
    3 x Coloured photos duly attested (front & back).
    Crossed postal order of Rs. 100/- in favour of Director General Personnel Administration (DGPA), General Headquarters (GHQ) Rawalpindi.

JOIN PAKISTAN ARMY AS MEDICAL CADET IN ARMY ADMINISTERED MEDICAL COLLEGES (RAWALPINDI, LAHORE, QUETTA, KARACHI, MULTAN)

    Eligibility Conditions

  • Education

    FSc (Pre Medical) with minimum 70% marks or ‘A’ level passed in Biology, Physics
    and Chemistry with minimum grade C.
    Candidates having domicile of Balochistan, Sind (District Tharparkar, Omar Kot),
    Northern Areas, Azad Kashmir (Upper Neelam Valley) and FATA can apply with 65%
    marks.
    Candidates possessing foreign qualifications such as “O’ Level and ‘A’ level etc
    will be required to obtain Equivalence Certificate and conversion of marks from
    Inter Board Committee of Chairman (IBCC), Ministry of Education, Islamabad and
    attach it with application form.
    Candidates who have passed FSc Part-I Examination with minimum 70% marks and
    appeared/are appearing in FSc Part-II/ Final Examination can also apply on “Hope
    Certificates” by the Head of the institutions. Such candidates must deposit an
    attested copy of FSc Part II Certificate/ Mark Sheets to PA Directorate (PA-3C)
    General Headquarters (GHQ) Rwp within 5 days of announcement of result;
    otherwise their selection will not be processed further.

  • “Not Recommended” twice by Inter Service Selection Board (ISSB)/ General
    Headquarters (GHQ) Selection Board.
    Declared medically UNFIT by CMH/ Appeal Medical Board.
    Declared medically UNFIT due to Hepatitis B & C (Appeal Medical Board cannot
    be requested).
    Enrolled cadets and recruits withdrawn/ resigned/ discharged/ dismissed from
    Armed Foces (Army, Navy and Air Force) training academies/ institutions on the
    grounds of discipline, character, medical, inefficiency, weak profile, own
    request or declared unsuitable.
    An individual dismissed/ removed form any other government service.
    Convicted by a Court of Law for an offence involving moral turpitude.

    Important Points

      Provincial Entry Test. Candidates who apply for
    admission as Medical Cadet (for Army only) in AM College Rwp, CMH Lhr Med
    College, Quetta Institute of Medical Sciences, CMH Multan Medical College,
    Karachi Institute of Medical Sciences Must have registered/
    appeared themselves in any fresh provincial entry test as eligible (UHS,
    ETEA, MCAT, NUMS, AJ&K Stte exam etc)
    .
      Candidate must mention the name of College for which applying (Army Medical
    College Rwp or CMH Lhr Medical College) at the top of Application form (page 1).
    Candidate can also opt for Colleges priority wise.
      During the registration on internet, the candidate must specify this choice for
    colleges Carefully.
      A candidate selected at merit for one institution shall not be changed.
      Candidate selected for MBBS in any of said medical colleges if not appeared/
    registered in their respective regional exams shall stand
    ineligible.
    Provincial Entry Test. Written test will be
    based on multiple choice questions from English, Biology, physics and Chemistry.
    The candidate declared successful in written test will undergo physical/ medical
    tests at AS&RCs.
      Physical Tests. Candidates must qualify following physical tests:-
        ► 1.6 Km Run – 9 minutes
        ► Push Ups – 15 repetitions in 2 minutes
        ► Sit Ups – 20 repetitions in 2 minutes
        ► Chin Ups – 3 repetitions in 2 minutes
        ► Ditch Crossing – 7’.4” x 7’.4” and 4’ deep
    Preliminary Medical Test. Initial medical
    test at AS&RCs.
  • Shortlisted candidates will received notice for intelligence/ personality test
    and interviews by the General Headquarters (GHQ) selection board at Army Medical
    College, Rawalpindi through website as well as call up letter. Medical
    examination of recommended candidates will be carried out at nearby CMHs. Final
    selection will be made at General Headquarters (GHQ) on the basis of candidate’s
    overall performance.
  • Academic Disciplines
        Disciplines Institutions (NUST)
      1. MBBS 5 Years study at Army Medical Colleges Rawalpindi, Lahore, Quetta, Karachi &
    Multan.
      2 BDS Course 4 Years study at Army Medical College Rawalpindi
    Priority of Disciplines. 22 x Weeks Basic Military
    Training (BMT) at Pakistan Military Academy (PMA) Kakul after completion of
    final professional examination.
  • Following documents/ certificates are required at the time of
    registration:-
     

    1 x Attested photocopy of Matric certificate. In case of ‘O’ Level/ ‘A’ Level,
    submission of equivalence certificate issued by IBCC is mandatory.
     

    1 x Attested photocopies of computerized CNIC or Form ‘B’ issued by NADRA.
     

    1 x Attested photocopies of FSc Part-I (Pre-Medical) details marks cerficate and
    “Hope” certificate from Principal of college that the candidate will get minimum
    70% marks in FSc Part-II Examination.
     

    Attested passport size photographs must be pasted on Application form.
      Candidates who have already cleared FSc Part-II (Pre-Medical) will produce 1x
    attested photocopies of Detail Marks Sheets (DMC).
     

    Candidates will deposit crossed postal orders of Rs. 100.00 in favour of
    Director General Personnel Administration (DGPA), General Headquarters (GHQ)
    Rawalpindi. Pay Order/ Bank Draft will not be accepted.

    REGULAR COMMISSION IN PAKISTAN ARMY THROUGH TECHNICAL CADET COURSE

    Eligibility Conditions

    • Education

      FSc (Pre Engineering) – Physics, Mathematics, Chemistry/ Computer Studies/ Computer Sciences with minimum 65% marks or ‘O’ level passed (English being compulsory) in five subjects and ‘A’ level passed in Mathematics, Physics and Chemistry/ Computer Studies/ Computer Sciences in Grade A-C.
        Candidates possessing qualifications such as ‘O’ level and ‘A’ level etc will be required to obtain Equivalence Certificate and conversion of marks from Inter Board Committee of Chairmen (IBCC), Ministry of Education, Islamabad and attach it with application form along with ‘A’ level passed in Mathematics, Physics, Chemistry, Computer Studies/ Computer Sciences essentially in Grade A-C.
        Candidates who have passed FSc Part-I Examination with minimum 65% marks and appeared/ are appearing in FSc Part-II/ Final Examination can also apply on “HOPE Certificates” duly issued by Head of the institution. However, such candidates must submit their FSc Part-II roll no and name of Education Board along with photocopy of roll no slip to General Headquarters (GHQ), Personnel Administration (PA) Directorate (PA-3b), Rawalpindi. FSc final result cards/ mark sheets must be submitted within one week of the announcement of FSc Board results, otherwise candidates will not be considered in final merit.
        Candidates who have passed FSc in Computer Sciences can apply for Computer Software Engineering only.

    • In-Eligibility Conditions

      Twice rejected by Inter Service Selection Board (ISSB)/ General Headquarters (GHQ)/ Naval Headquarters (NHQ)/ Air Headquarters (AHQ) Selection Board or once rejected by Inter Service Selection Board (ISSB) and once rejected by General Headquarters (GHQ)/ Naval Headquarters (NHQ)/ Air Headquarters (AHQ) Selection Board.
      Withdrawn from any Academy/ Training Institution of Armed Forces on any ground.
      Withdrawn from any bonded Armed Forces college/ institution on disciplinary grounds.
      Dismissed/ removed/ debarred from Govt Services including Armed Forces.
      Convicted in a Court of Law for an offence involving moral turpitude.
      Permanently declared UNFIT by Appeal Medical Board (AMB).
      Declared medically unfit due to Hepatitis B & C (Such candidates cannot request for appearance in AMB).
      Declared medically unfit by any Armed Forces Hospital except those cleared by Appeal Medical Board.
      Diploma Holders.
      Those studying in any of the Armed Forces Institutions/ Academies or nominated against reserve defence quota seats/ studying as Paying Cadets in any of the Armed Forces Technical Colleges.

      Only shortlisted candidates will be called for Inter Service Selection Board (ISSB) tests through website as well as call up letters. Medical examination of Inter Service Selection Board (ISSB) recommended candidates will be carried out at nearby CMHs. Final selection will be made at General Headquarters (GHQ) on the basis of candidate’s overall performance. Allocation of disciplines will be made on merit cum choice basis. Decision of General Headquarters (GHQ) in allotment of disciplines will be final and no representation or request for change in allotted discipline will be entertained.

      Degree Programme. 4 Years degree programme.
      Military Training. After obtaining Bachelor of Engineering Degree, cadets will undergo one year military training at Pakistan Military Academy (PMA) Kakul.
    • Documents Required at AS&RCs

      Following documents/ certificates are required at the time of registration:-
        Original Certificate/ Detailed Mark Sheet of Matric/ FSc/ Equivalent certificate. In case of ‘O’ Level/ ’A’ Level, submission of Equivalence Certificate issued by IBCC is mandatory.
        Computerized National Identity Card (CNIC) for 18 years and above or Computerized Form “B” along with CNIC of Father or Guardian for candidates less than 18 years of age.
        One set of attested photocopies of both sides of above mentioned documents.
        3 x Coloured photographs attested by Principal/ Class-1 Gazetted Officer (1 x front & 2 x back).
        Original as well as 3 x photocopies of Inter Service Selection Board (ISSB) “NOT RECOMMENDED” letter are also required (for Repeater Candidates only).

    REGULAR COMMISSION IN PAKISTAN ARMY THROUGH PMA LONG COURSE

      Academic Prerequisites
      Marks – FA/ FSc/ Equivalent
      Minimum 55 % marks in FA/FSc and equivalent.
      Candidates who secure 60% mks or above in BA/ BSc/ BA/ BSc (Hons) and BBA/ BPA, with 50% mks in FA/ FSc are eligible for Pakistan Military Academy (PMA) Long Course.
      Marks – FA/ FSc/ Equivalent. 55% marks for the candidates from specified areas with domicile.       Serving Army Soldiers. 50% marks in FA/FSc and equivalent.
      Hope Certificate. Candidates who have passed Part-I of Intermediate Examination with minimum 60% marks and appeared/ are appearing in Part II/ Final Examination can also apply on “Hope Certificate” by Head of the institutions.
      Verification of Marks Sheet/ Certificate. Candidates not issued with certificates or in possession of duplicate/revised mark sheets/certificates of Matric/ Intermediate/ BA/ BSc must get a Verification Certificate signed by Secretary/ Controller Examination of concerned Board/University.
      ‘A’ level candidates applying in Pakistan with aggregate 60% marks are eligible without seeking equivalence certificate as calculated by IBCC. However, all the candidates who have passed ‘A’ level and equivalent examination from abroad or have passed from Pakistan with the result less than three Cs are required to submit equivalence certificate issued by IBCC.

    • In-Eligibility Conditions

      Twice rejected by Inter Service Selection Board (ISSB).
      Twice screened out by Inter Service Selection Board (ISSB).
      Tested within four months (120 days) gap of previous appearance in Inter Service Selection Board (ISSB) except waiver granted by the competent authority. However, bar of 120 days will not be applicable to candidates appearing in General Headquarters (GHQ)/ Naval Headquarters (NHQ)/ Air Headquarters (AHQ) selection board.
      Dismissed/removed/debarred from Government Service including Armed Forces.
      Convicted in a Court of Law for any heinous offence (to be ascertained by the competent military authority).
      Permanently declared UNFIT by Appeal Medical Board (PUF by AMB). Declared unfit by any Armed Forces Hospital except those cleared by Appeal Medical Board. However, Pakistan Air Force candidates who become medically unfit for flying but fit for ground branches can undergo routine Medical Examination as normal candidates if they are desirous to join other arms.
      Declared medically unfit due to Hepatitis B & C (AMB cannot be requested).
      Withdrawn from any bonded Armed Forces college/ institution on disciplinary grounds.
      Withdrawn/ discharged/ resigned or purchase of commission from any Armed Forces officers Academy/ Training Institution on any ground.
      Tempering of academic certificates/ forgery/ concealment to get undue advantage will render to applicant permanently ineligible for all types of commission in Armed Forces.

      Written/Intelligence Tests. Written/Intelligence tests will be based on multiple choice questions from English, Maths, Pak Studies, Islamiat and General Knowledge. The candidates declared successful in written/intelligence tests will undergo physical/ medical tests and interviews at Army Selection and Recruitment Centres (AS&RCs).
      Physical Tests. The candidates must qualify the following physical standards at the time of preliminary selection:-
      ► 1.6 Km Run – 8 minutes
      ► Push Ups – 15 repetitions in 2 minutes
      ► Sit Ups – 20 repetitions in 2 minutes
      ► Chin Ups – 3 repetitions in 2 minutes
      ► Ditch Crossing – 7’.4” x 7’.4” and 4’ deep
      Interview. Successful candidates will be interviewed at Army Selection and Recruitment Centres (AS&RCs) and short listed for Inter Service Selection Board (ISSB) test.

    • Further Selection Procedure

      Candidates who are selected by Army Selection and Recruitment Centres (AS&RCs) will be called for Inter Service Selection Board (ISSB) Tests. Medical examination of Inter Service Selection Board (ISSB) recommended candidates will be carried out at nearby Combined Military Hospitals (CMHs). The final selection will be made at General Headquarters (GHQ) on the basis of candidate’s performance.
    • Pakistan Nationals Residing Abroad

      Eligible candidates residing abroad are exempted from Preliminary Selection. However, Defence Attaches will ascertain their overall suitability, physical deformity and stammering aspects. The candidates are advised to approach Pakistani Embassies (Military/Defence Attaches) in the country where residing for issuance of Application Forms. They will submit their Application Forms alongwith connected documents through Pakistani Embassies. A postal order of Rs. 100/- and a Bank Draft of Rs. 500/- in the name of Director General Personnel Administration, Personnel Administration Directorate, General Headquarters (GHQ) Rawalpindi will be attached with the Application Form. Postal address in Pakistan should also be indicated in the Application Forms so that call up notice for Inter Service Selection Board (ISSB) Tests/ Interviews and further correspondence to eligible candidates can be made on the given Pakistani address. No traveling allowance will be admissible for travelling to and from Pakistan.
      NOTE: If selected candidates for current entry are more than the required induction, the left over candidates would be considered for next Pakistan Military Academy (PMA) Long Course entry subject to fulfillment of eligibility conditions/ merit.
